Andree Lau is the managing editor of news at HuffPost Canada.
She previously worked for CBC News from 1999-2012 as a TV reporter, videojournalist, writer/producer, and online writer/editor in Vancouver, Edmonton, Calgary, Toronto, Ottawa, Regina, and New Brunswick.
In 2012, she helped launch The Huffington Post B.C. in Vancouver, and subsequently became senior news editor for HuffPost in Western Canada.
A multiple Atlantic Journalism Awards nominee, she's won an Alberta Film and Television Award as well as a New York Festivals certificate for "A New Normal," a documentary on a wounded Canadian soldier.
A native of Vancouver, she is a graduate of Carleton University's journalism program.
