中国・天津で起きた爆発事故で、当局は8月16日、行方不明者が95人、死者が112人と発表した。巻き込まれた人の多くは、消防隊員だという。中国中央テレビが伝えた。

現場付近ではシアン化合物が検出され、化学物質の貯蔵施設と住宅街が隣接していたことなどが被害を大きくした原因と考えられている。
