7月17日、アムステルダム発クアラルンプール行きのマレーシア航空17便がウクライナ東部のドネツク近郊で墜落し、乗客・乗員298名全員が死亡した

AP通信によると、ウクライナ政府の内務大臣の補佐官はFacebookで航空機は撃墜されたと発表した

ウクライナ人の抵抗運動グループは、墜落地点とみられる場所を示す動画を投稿した。
